VIDEO: Where I find calm
Wednesday, May 11th, 2005Telling TV about Videoblogging
Wednesday, May 11th, 2005Eric Rice recently went on Tech TV to talk about videoblogging.
He did a great job. Someone I trust immensely.
Eric says about the experience:
The notion of talking about a ‘movement’ always makes me a little nervous, so I hope I did vlogging justice (I think it was a little too TV show-oriented), but here’s the segment of me on Call for Help (G4/TechTV Canada) talking about videoblogging (and Audioblog.com too). No screenshots, but did get some love in about ANT, Mefeedia, and Rocketboom.
I struggle with the notion of videoblogging needing affirmation from the traditional media.
But as I’m taught, it’s great to get these ideas out there where the people are.
We need to develop people’s habits to use tools like ANT, mefeedia, or whatever aggregator to subscribe to and watch videos daily on their computer.
It’s a new habit.
The habit of creating video and watching other people’s video.
imagine a world…
Video Sharing
Wednesday, May 11th, 2005Here is a new videoblogger, Erin.
I’m not quite sure what this blogging is all about quite yet, but I
started one so we’ll see where it goes! I am a mother of two girls, one
age 3 and the other 16 months. It is chaos around our house most of the
time, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My new hobby these days is
creating videos and slide shows with imovie, so I hoped I could use
this blog to share them with family and friends (and I suppose whoever
else might want to watch).
She figured out how to videoblog through freevlog.
Just download ANT and subscribe to her feed:

She says:
I’ve been enjoying reading people’s blogs. This is all new to me. There
are so many creative people out there who write so well! Thanks to the
few people who have read mine in it’s early stage, and for your
comments. I love getting feedback. I guess video blogging must be
pretty new. Although it’s out there, it doesn’t seem to be typical yet.
Actually, video sharing is the whole reason I got into this world of
blogging (vlogging.. whatever it is people call it!) I was wanting a
way (a free way) to share my movies, slideshows and stories with
friends, family and the world. If any of you out there, especially
mothers, are doing the same… send me a note or email!
I mean how much mroe clearly could she state it.
Erin gets it.
Video sharing.
Love it.

This is probably the most powerful resource that has come out of the Videoblogging Group.
In 8 easy steps, anyone can now make a videoblog for FREE.
They have added videos to walk you through the whole process.
Please link to this far and wide.
Let it be known that the most important step is actually creating a video.
Just use your digital still camera and make little video introducing yourself and your world.
Connect into the community.
It’s really ours for the making.
Play me a tune from far away
Sunday, May 8th, 2005Meet two relatively new videobloggers who have blown my mind.
Josh Leo lives in Michigan.
Phil Hamilton lives in Massachusettes.
Eventhough they live in different states, they created a video where they played music together.
Im hoping these guys write up a "how-to".
imagine all kinds of musical collaborations like this.
So what do you do in this case?
Get ANT.
