Video from Iraq
Sunday, November 27th, 2005The web is great because information can flow so easily.
But how do you know it’s true?
Well here’s a video supposedly showing private policemen in Iraq randomly opening fire on people…they use a machine gun.
Read more here for details.
Is anyone surprised that this is going on in Iraq…especially after Abu Graib?
Imagine driving down to the store and getting bullets for breakfast.
How would you react? Would you become a "terrorist" to get foreigners out of your country?
Video helps create empathy and outrage…thats because we dont see so much reality on traditional TV.
I would love to see people videoblogging in Iraq: Iraqis, US soldiers, anyone.
I want to see reality from the ground, unfiltered.
Let’s base our armchair politics on real points of view…
UPDATE: for more graphic, unseen photos and videos that are supposedly uploaded from US soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, go here.

This is what Im talking about.
Witnessing and sharing with the group mind.

Some videobloggers say that it’s weird to see our videoblogs out of context of their blog.
I believe we’re just extending their power…like if a text blog ended up in the newspaper.
The post is still on the web…we’re just exposing film and video people to some new territory.
