After a series of emails over the last several months, my friend, Maurice, has begun videoblogging in Rwanda!

Maurice is a german working for an NGO government organization to help build infrastructure in Kigali. His blog is already a great place to read about his experiences there. The video just makes it all come alive. The sites and sounds are extremely important to understanding a different culture no matter how good a writer you are.

But I have to correct you on one small point. I don’t quite work for NGO. I work for a “GO”: the German development agency, GTZ. We still do some good work, though
Getting personal interviews with people would definitely be great. I’ll have to work on that one. But it Rwandans are a shy people, so it will be a challenge.
